Seventy-two pieces were entered into this Spring show. Forty-four works were accepted and twelve artists received awards, and they are to be congratulated for their years of dedication and hard work that brought them to where they are today. Listed below are those artists whose work will hang in the Haskell Gallery at the Jacksonville International Airport for the next three months. 6 million people go through JIA each year, so hopefully a few of those travelers will stop by to see the work of some terrific watermedia artists. The Show closes Saturday, June 30th. Congratulations to all the winners, to all who participated

Juror's Statement – Fran Larsen

The Spring Exhibition of watermedia painting from the members of the Jacksonville Watercolor Society is excellent in quality and diverse in viewpoints. The accepted artists are not only skilled in the use of watermedia, but also skilled in giving us their very personal look at the life they see around them in this part of th country - and what they think about what they see.

I am privileged to be asked to select such a survey exhibition because a show like this gives me a chance to see the interaction of art making and every day life. This is good art making by the folks you know. I hope you enjoy their visions as much as I have.
