Membership is open to anyone who is interested in watermedia. Members enjoy many benefits including member fees for workshops, artist demonstrations at monthly meetings, opportunity to participate in juried shows and community outreach, access to JWS library of art videos and books, and communication via newsletter, website, and email.

Throughout the year, we offer a variety of arts opportunities including eight (8) monthly meetings each with demonstrations and lectures by renowned and/or prominent local artists - providing support and arts education for the beginner to the professional; and two three-day watermedia workshops with nationally recognized artists, such as author/artist Marilyn Hughey Phillis, Sue Archer, author/artist David Dewey, collage artist Sherry O’Neill, Fran Larsen, Mary Ann Beckwith, and Janet Rodgers to name a few.

Membership also includes the opportunity to participate in two annual Juried Awards Exhibitions (work must be delivered to JWS we do not ship nor receive artwork via mail), and we strongly encourage volunteerism as well as Board involvement. JWS is a wonderful way to meet and make new friends and network with an array of like-minded artists.

Annual individual membership dues are $35 per year and are due and payable at the beginning of the JWS fiscal year on June 1st. Failure to pay annual dues by October 31 shall result in the loss of membership benefits until dues are paid in full. Membership dues received after April 1st will be applied to the next membership year.
